열두달

Korea through the months

일월
January

Deep cold and empty palaces. Ski season in Gangwon.

이월
February

The coldest weeks end; Seollal shuts the country for three days.

삼월
March

Grey turns green. Cherry blossom reaches Jeju at the end of the month.

사월
April

Blossom sweeps north: Jinhae, then Yeouido, then Seoul.

오월
May

The best month. Warm, dry, and everything is open.

유월
June

Green and humid; the rains build toward the end.

칠월
July

Monsoon. Museums, cafes and the odd perfect blue day.

팔월
August

Hot and loud. Beaches, festivals, and air conditioning.

구월
September

Chuseok empties Seoul and fills every road out of it.

시월
October

Autumn starts on Seoraksan's ridges. Ideal walking weather.

십일월
November

Peak danpung in Seoul, then Busan. Our favourite month.

십이월
December

First snow, illuminations, and a quiet run-up to New Year.

비자

Do you need a visa?

Most EU, UK, Australian, US and Canadian passports enter visa-free for 90 days, but you must apply for **K-ETA** online before you fly unless your nationality is on the current exemption list. Checked Sep 8, 2026; rules change, confirm on the official K-ETA site.

Fill in the arrival card and customs declaration through Q-CODE or on paper; Q-CODE is faster at Incheon.

Your passport only needs to stay valid for the length of the stay.

Maps

Google Maps cannot route you in Korea. Install Naver Map or KakaoMap before you fly; both need data.

Transit

One T-money card covers subway, bus and taxis, and tops up at any convenience store.

Cash

Korea is nearly cashless, but small eateries and markets still want notes. Airport ATMs take foreign cards.

Tax-free

Passport at the till gets VAT back on purchases over ₩15,000 in participating shops.

Wi-Fi

Public Wi-Fi is everywhere and mostly locked. That is the whole reason this page exists.

No EID? Don't buy this. The counters in Incheon arrivals sell physical SIMs.

질문

Four questions, answered straight

Is 'unlimited' really unlimited?

1GB a day at full speed, then unlimited at 5Mbps for the rest of the day. Enough for maps, chat and streaming that isn't 4K. We'd rather print the number than hide it.

What about the 30-day plan?

That one is 2GB a day, not unlimited, and we never label it otherwise. A 30-day unlimited Korean plan costs us more at wholesale than we could honestly sell it for.

When does the clock start?

Not at purchase. Buy today; your days begin the first time the eSIM connects in Korea.

Can I hotspot?

Yes. It shares your daily allowance.
